How about riding in the Lake District?

Intro on Lake district

The lake district is a brilliant place to visit with it being the largest national park in England it has so many different things to see, from Scafell Pike its highest mountain to Wastwater its deepest lake. On top of these there is so much more to see and our horse-riding holidays are in the perfect spots to venture out and see them. For those who are non-riders in the group, on top of walking the fells there are many things for them to do in the Windermere area of the Lake District.

5 night adult break in the Lakes

This horse-riding holiday in the English Lake District will set you on the doorstep of the breath taking Winster and Lyth valleys, being right on the doorstep means you are elevated granting you a incredible view of everything. The traditional 17th century Lakeland farmhouse that you will stay in comes with its own on-site riding stables. All levels of riders are welcome here, this course is designed to teach adults that are wishing to learn. When you arrive on the first day you will notice there are many beautiful features about the farmhouse such as its architecture and its yard that you can explore, if time permits, we can arrange a ride on the first afternoon. From days two-five lessons will begin in the mornings and will consist of riders taking lessons either individually or in small groups to their appropriate level. On top of riding lessons there are stable management sessions to learn the basics of horse care. After lessons and lunch, we will take a ride out into the wonderful Lakeland scenery. For those wanting to do some hacking this takes place in no less than 2500 acres of private estate land which comprises of miles of secluded woodland tracks (where we often come across deer and other woodland wild life). A little hack away is what is locally known as 'the noddle', the most amazing view point offering excellent views of South Lakeland and Morecambe Bay. On top of hacking there are so many different things that non-riders can do in this area including fishing, cycling and walking.
