Day One
Loire Valley - Château of Chaumont
Meeting Equinature team at 8:30 AM, you land on saddle for your first day toward Chaumont castle. You will admire its beautiful banks, classified in UNESCO program to reach the castle for lunch. Former Medieval fortress, Chaumont is now a magnificent Renaissance castle overlooking the Loire Valley. Optional visit (about 1h30) following your riding afternoon via l'Ile de la Folie and its little green paths. Dinner and night in Domaine des Thomeaux.
Day Two
Montrichard forest - Troglodyte cave and wine tasting
On your second day, you start your traveling toward Southeast to cross Montrichard forest. You will enjoy its large sand path for great trotting and cantering. After having lunch in the heart of the forest, now you will leave the Loire Valley to reach the Cher Valley. Cher Valley is known for its beautiful white stone houses and its moderate relief. Your ride ends in Bourré village where your horses will rest. It's now time to enjoy the visit of a traditional troglodyte cave (dug into rocks) where you will learn everything about its history. Your visit will end with a traditional wine and local products tasting into the cave. Transfer to dinner and night in Domaine des Thomeaux.
Day Three
Aiguegige Abbaye - Chateau of Montpoupon
Your third day will make you cross the Cher River to reach the Touraine/Indre limit and pays Lochois. You will have lunch at the Aiguevive abbaye, XIth century vestige, and then go back on saddle to ride toward the lovely Montpoupon castle in the mid-afternoon. Horse will have rest here while you will be enjoying this little elegant Renaissance castle and its rich amazon collection (about 1h). New night and dinner in Domaine des Thomeaux.
Day Four
Cher Valley - Chateau of Chenonceau
New departure in France of a special Cher Valley and Chenonceau day. You will get on saddle around 9:00 AM in West direction toward the famous Chenonceau castle. Lunch near the chateau followed by the optional visit (about 1h30). Chenonceau, the "rock-star" of Loire Valley will conquer you with its gorgeous interior, its lovely gardens, and its famous arches over the Cher River. You will be able to admire them one last time during your riding afternoon on South bank before reaching your night break in Dierre. New night and dinner in Domaine des Thomeaux.
Day Five
Amboise Forest - Chateau of Amboise
We already are on your last day in Loire Valley. You will leave Dierre in the morning toward the city of Amboise. You will appreciate the beauty and the energy of this former Medieval royal village overlooked by its magnificent royal castle. You will have lunch on the Loire banks followed by the castle visit (about 1h30) enjoying the beautiful vue on the Loire river. You will go back on saddle to enjoy one last time the beautiful landscapes of our region before coming back to Rilly in the end of the afternoon. Free departure after the traditional French aperitive (optional extra night if needed).
