Beach Ride - Experienced Riders

Sunday

Arrive at Malaga, Jerez or Gibraltar airport where you can be collected for the transfer to Tarifa. (There is an additional charge for this service, you can choose to hire a car if you would prefer, or there is a bus service)

Monday

Begin your riding this morning with an introduction to your horse. We will explain to you all about the tack (very comfortable saddles) and also the Spanish way of riding. As soon as you are comfortable on your horse you will go out for your first ride on the beautiful beach of Tarifa. This beach is part of a nature reserve and many migrating birds use it as a stop over before they fly to Africa. After lunch today there will be time to relax before enjoying another beach ride this evening when you can practice your Spanish riding style.

Tuesday

Santuario de la Luz (4-5 hours)Today we will be riding all day in the hills above Tarifa, through typical Andalusian cork forests where many animals roam free. Our destination is the Sanctuary of the Light, here you will enjoy a picnic lunch

Wednesday

Sand Dune Ride (4-5 hours) A day ride today along the beach of the Atlantic Ocean. We will be climbing up and then sliding down sand dunes, great fun! We will have our picnic lunch in the pine forest behind the dunes before we ride back to the stables.

Thursday

Beach and mountain (2 hours) This morning we have arranged a 2 hour beach and mountain ride for you before it is time to bid farewell to new friends as you head back to the airport for your flight home.

• 4 nights bed and breakfast accommodation at the hotel in a private bungalow
• Riding programme as described above
• Picnic lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday

Long Weekend Beach Ride

Thursday

Arrive at Malaga, Gibraltar or Jerez airport this morning and head to Tarifa close to Gibraltar. The stables are located on a beautiful sandy beach and in the days to come you will be exploring this area that is designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty. Later today you will be introduced to the Spanish riding style and we will spend time with you as you become familiar with the tack and the horses. Then we will be heading for the beach for your first ride (2 hours riding).

Friday

Today's ride will start at 10.30hrs as we make for the National Park and the picturesque Cork Forest. As we ride through the mountains, you will be able to enjoy this unspoilt region of Andalusia. We will picnic in the shade of the cork trees where wild animals often appear to take a look! (4 - 5 hours riding)

Saturday

We will be riding along the beach today and through the pine woods that line the coastal region of this nature reserve. We will be heading for Paloma Baja where we will be picnicking before returning to the stables (4 - 5 hours riding).

Sunday

This morning there will be an extended beach ride in the morning before it is time to head back home. (2 hours riding)
