Day 1
Arrive at Faro airport just a short transfer from the Equestrian Centre, a taxi transfer can be arranged for around 30€. You will initially be given a short tour of the facilities to meet the horses and then you will be shown to your accommodation. The Equestrian Centre where you will be staying for this fantastic horse riding holiday Portugal package is located in the Algarve region, close to the beach and with excellent riding out right on the doorstep. There are soft sandy tracks into the local countryside with plenty of places to enjoy a canter. the riding is through wonderful cork groves and orange orchards.
This afternoon you will start your riding programme with an assessment. Tailor made riding packages are available to suit all abilities including show jumping lessons, dressage lessons and for aspiring horse owners, stable management sessions may be included. There are childrens activities and pony days offered during school holidays.
Day 2
After breakfast meet on the yard for your morning ride out. Ride along the myriad of sandy trails close to the beach enjoy cantering (for those who have learnt to canter!) through cork groves and orange orchards. This is a great way to start the day on a trail ride in the beautiful countryside.
Beach riding is available between November and March for experienced riders only.
After a pause for lunch instruction will take place in the afternoon on the centre's well trained horses. For beginners choose to improve your balance and confidence or for those more advanced riders practise dressage or show jumping skills. The instructor will discuss with you what you would like to achieve from your holiday and a plan will be put in place.
Day 3 - Day 7
Miminum stay is 2 nights although we have people staying for up to 14 nights. Choose your length of stay and your riding programme.

Additional Information
The centre is minutes from the beach and the small resort of Olhos d' Agua. So, for non-riders and for those who would like to enjoy walking, the ocean, good restaurants and shopping when not in the saddle this is an excellent choice!
For those staying in the onsite cabin the staff are happy to join in with social events from meals in local restaurants to sitting under the trees with a cold beer and a pizza discussing the days events.
There is a self catering cabin on site, but you can also choose to stay in a local Guest House or in a 4 star hotel with pool, both minutes walk away.
You can choose to arrive any day of the week just call us with your proposed dates.
Transfers from Faro airport are available - from 30 Euros per taxi each way
