Arrive today in the spectacular Loire Valley. There will be a briefing with your guide at 7:00 pm. Dinner and accommodatio tonight in the hotel La Clef des Chateaux.

Day Two

After breakfast today, you will meet the horses. This first day of riding will take you through and around the beautiful forests and lakes of the Sologne region. After  lunch on Beuvron banks in Bracieux, near to the XIVth century church of Sainte-Nicaise, you will find your first castle Chambord. Originally a hunting lodge built by François 1st in the XVIth century, Chambord is now a jewel of French heritage. There will be time to explore before riding back to Villesavin castle where the horses will spend the night. Dinner and accommodation tonight in hotel La Clef des Chateaux.

Day Three

Today starts with a visit to Villesavin castle. This small Renaissance castle was the Chambord baillif's seat. Mid morning we ride on to Beauregard a small XVth century castle where we will stop for lunch. Beauregard houses a famous gallery with 327 different portraits of historical characters, including Lapis Lazuli painting walls. After lunch we will be leaving the Sologne region as we head towards Touraine and specifically the charming village of Ouchamps. Dinner and night in Relais des Landes.

Day Four

Today we will be leaving Ouchamps to cross the Beuvron in Candé. Here we will ride along the banks of The Loire towards the magestic castle of Chaumont sur Loire. This castle was built on the ruins of an old fortress  originally commissioned to protect against invaders. Lunch is followed by a castle and gardens visit including the beautiful stables and circular riding arena. In the afternoon continue along the Loire banks to Mosnes. Dinner and accommodation this evening will be in Domaine des Thomeaux.

Day Five

Today you will continue along the banks of the Loire heading towards Amboise. You will see its beautiful castle perched high above the village, lunch will be at Le Clos Lucé. This gorgeous Renaissance mansion was the last home of the well known artist and inventor Leonardo Da Vinci. It now houses Da Vinci's famous inventions museum. After the visit, you leave the banks of the Loire behind as we head south towards maybe one of our favorite castles of the region, Chenonceau. Here the ride will end but there will be time for you to visit the castle.
