Day One

Arrive in Madrid today and make your way to one of the hotels that we have selected for you in The Sierra de Navacerrada. We can arrange car hire for you should you wish to travel independently or you can catch a train from Madrid (departures every 45 minutes; duration 50 minutes). Upon arrival at your hotel you can start to relax and enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings, this region is also noted for its fine cuisine and local home grown produce is very much a feature in the regions menus.

Day Two

Riding will start today; after breakfast you will be collected from the hotel for the short drive to the riding stable. Today you have a choice; experienced riders can enjoy a route of 2 – 3 hours around the owners private finca. Here you will be treated to spectacular views as you ride through this area of zoological and botanical interest. Beginners may choose a lesson and a shorter route as they learn to become confident and at ease with their horse. Tonight we can arrange a massage for you at a spa located close to your hotel.

Day Three

Today you will be heading off on another equestrian adventure. The route today is also 4 – 5 hours in duration and is called La Ruta del Toro Bravo (Spanish Bull). It follows a path that takes you past some of the most famous bull breeding farms of the region for example Eulogios, José Furiuche, Vázquez, etc. You will see cows with their calves and of course the mature males all grazing peacefully in their natural environment. Less experienced riders can again choose to take a lesson followed by a shorter ride out in the countryside.

Day Four

Today you can choose to ride again or we can also organise a guided tour for you to one of the many local areas of historic interest. For example to the city of Soria, The Monastery of El Escorial or The Palace and Gardens of La Granja de San Ildefonso (XVII), known as The Versailles of Spain. A qualified local guide will explain to you the importance of these wonderful sites which will surely stay in your memory for ever. We can also organise private rides for small groups (2 or more) to these areas of historic interest.

For those who have decided to enjoy an extra night in Madrid we will organise a hotel for you in the historic centre of this enchanting capital city.

Extend your stay by an extra night in Madrid:

Don’t let this opportunity pass, we can arrange an additional night(s) stay in Madrid to enjoy the numerous cultural and gastronomic experiences offered by this extraordinary city. Customer Feedback:

"I have gone on a few other equestrian holidays , and by far this is one of the best all around trips I have ever gone on.
The horses, people and country were extraordinary and I would still be there if I didn’t have to work to make money to return!!!
Thank you Mariano and Spain!! And Equestrian Escapes for turning me on to this magical  non-touristy place.."
