Day One
Arrive today and settle into your accommodation set in the beautiful New Forest National Park. If you arrive by lunchtime we will be able to arrange an afternoon ride. Beginners and more experienced riders will start off with a lesson so that we can assess your skills and make sure that we find you your perfect equestrian partner.
Day Two
This morning you will be heading to the riding stables. Today the choice is yours; we can offer another lesson for less experienced riders followed by a ride out into The New Forest or for those already comfortable in the saddle we will head straight along the forest trails. Our numerous routes incorporate leafy forest enclosure & the heathers and gorse of the open heathlands. We cross streams and brooks, and ride up to 300 feet above sea level where you will have outstanding 360 degree views over the New Forest National Park. The New Forest is full of wildlife roaming free and on many of our rides you will see New Forest ponies, donkeys, cows, deer, sheep and more. The riding out from the stables is directly into the forest and the centre also has two excellent arenas for teaching guests. Lead rein treks are available for younger, less experienced riders.
Day Three
Today you can choose how long you would like to ride for again (see our set packages below but you can add on to these!). There is plenty to do for non-riders including fishing, cycling and walking. The New Forest has long been a popular destination in Britain for those wanting to enjoy some rest and relaxation. For non riders you can enjoy the spectacular scenery from a bicycle or for walkers trekking through the forest is an experience you won't forget!
Accommodation
There are several pubs locally where you will be able to get an evening meal. For those arriving by train the nearest railway station is Salisbury. Taxis are available at the station to bring you into The Forest.
Riding
We have suggested two riding programmes, one for novice riders and one for more experienced riders who are confident in walk, trot and canter. We are always happy to tailor make a riding package to suit you, if you want to add or take away rides just ask and we will send you a quote! Plesae note we do not take children under 12 years of age on the longer forest hacks. We do have tracks that they can ride on close to the stables.
