Transfer from Malaga airport to the village of Bubion at designated time (around 2pm). While in Bubion you will be staying in a charming and comfortable guest house in the heart of the village and within minutes walk from the local restaurants and cafes. This evening you will have dinner with the rest of the riders and a briefing on the following days activities.
After breakfast you will be driven the 5 kilometers to the stables where you will meet the horses. The stables are situated at 1,650 metres elevation, possibly the highest stables in Europe!!
Today the ride takes us up through the Poqueira valley, following centuries old Moorish bridle paths and irrigation channels as they wind their way through the small terraced farms. Picnic lunch on route. Approximately 3 hours riding.
During the afternoon we will drive you to the picturesque terraced village of Pampaneira. Visit to the local weaving workshop, small chocolate factory, and a selection of shops selling local produce. Returning to Bubion for dinner.
Morning ride with picnic lunch, approx. 3 hours. The route will take us high up into the National Park on a combination of bridle paths and foresty tracks, there are some good places for a canter, for those who want a bit of a faster ride.
During the afternoon in the summer months (June, July, August, September) we will drive down to the beach for a swim. Spring and Autumn months we will visit the village of Trevelez famous for its 'Jamon Serrano'. Here we will have a 'desgustacion' of ham and local wine.
Return to Bubion for dinner.
Today after an early breakfast you will be driven (approximately one hour and 15 minutes) to Granada. You will be dropped at the Alhambra Palace car park at 10am in time for the morning tour starting at 10.30. Entrance tickets can be purchased direct at www.alhambra-ticket.es or we will do it for you. Please note that at the time of booking your tickets you will need your passport number.
In the afternoon you will be free to explore the old historical quarters of the city and do some shopping. Meet the driver at the Alhambra car park for the return trip to Bubion.
If you prefer to spend the day in Bubion we are happy to take you out for a ride, or you may prefer to just relax in the village.
Dinner in Bubion.
Today we ride to the village of Trevelez, famous as the highest village in Spain and nationally renowned for its 'Jamon Serrano'. The ride is 5 to 6 hours duration through the National and Natural Park following a combination of ancient bridle paths and forestry tracks.
During the morning a leisurely ride following the bridle paths that tradionally linked the villages of Capilerilla, Pitres and Portugos. Leaving the villages below, the path climbs approximately 400 metres through small farms and orchards to join the pine woods in whose shade we will enjoy a picnic lunch.
In the afternoon we follow the main forestry track through pine and oak woods. Here there are plenty of opportunties to canter. Those who prefer can follow at a more leisurely pace.
Overnight and dinner in the comfortable Hotel Fragua. June – September swimming pool open.
A half day ride returning to Bubion by a shorter route. For those who wish, there are some good canter opportunities. At this point you will say goodbye to your lovely horses. Lunch in the village and the afternoon free to relax. Tonight we will host a farewell dinner.

We are about an hour and 15 minutes from the coast allowing during the summer months an afternoon on the beach.
Please note that the trails on days 2 and 3 may be varied depending on weather conditions - we ride higher when it is hot and lower in cooler weather.
Not included:- flights, personal insurance, lunch on the day of the Granada visit, Alhambra tickets, bar bills.
