Day One

Arrive in the afternoon and settle into your woodland home accommodation set in the beautiful New Forest National Park. The holiday park boasts leafy tranquillity, cafes, resident alpacas, a serene well-being spa, along with play areas, bicycle hire and swimming pools. You are within walking distance to the stables.

Day Two

After breakfast the family can walk over to the riding stables. Beginners and more experienced adult riders will start off with a lesson so that we can assess skills and make sure that we find your perfect pony. We can cater for riders from age 4 and our instructors are DBS checked. We offer children from the age of 6 who can already trot off the lead rein - a pony fun day which includes a lesson, games, grooming, tacking up and lots more. Lead rein treks and lessons are available for younger, less experienced riders and we include walk outs in our list of activities where family members can accompany their childs ride on foot.

Once back at the holiday park there is no end of things to do from childrens' adventure trails with zip wires to both indoor and outdoor swimming pools!

Day Three

While the children enjoy another pony fun day session, you can choose how long you would like to ride for again (see our set packages below but you can add on to these!). Less experienced adults may choose to have another lesson followed by a ride out into The New Forest or for those already comfortable in the saddle they can head straight out along the forest trails. Our numerous routes incorporate leafy forest enclosure & the heathers and gorse of the open heathlands. We cross streams and brooks, and ride up to 300 feet above sea level where you will have outstanding 360 degree views over the New Forest National Park. The New Forest is full of wildlife roaming free and on many of our rides you will see New Forest ponies, donkeys, cows, deer, sheep and more.

There is plenty to do for non-riders including fishing, cycling (bicycle hire onsite) and walking. The New Forest has long been a popular destination in Britain for those wanting to enjoy some rest and relaxation. For non riders you can enjoy the spectacular scenery from a bicycle or for walkers trekking through the forest is an experience you won't forget!

Day Four

Time to check out if you have chosen a four night break - the children can walk over to the stables for their final pony fun day session, adults may want to fit in a last hack in the forest or just make the most of the spa facilities on site before heading home.

At the holiday park we offer well equipped static caravans, mobile homes, log cabins and luxury holiday lodges - prices will vary by type and season. The self catered accommodations, some dog friendly,  are set in a well run holiday park. On site there are cafes, a well-being spa, play areas, cycling and indoor and outdoor swimming pools.

You can eat on site in their cafes and restaurants through the day and evening or there are also several pubs locally where you will be able to get  meals. The site also has a village store for essentials. For those arriving by train the nearest railway station is Salisbury. Taxis are available at the station to bring you into The Forest.

Riding

We have suggested two adult riding programmes, one for novice riders to include two lessons and a hack out and for more experienced riders who are confident in walk, trot and canter, a lesson and two forest hacks. We are always happy to tailor make a riding package to suit you, if you want to add or take away rides just ask and we will send you a quote!

For children under 6 we can offer lead rein riding and over 6 years if they are able to already trot off the lead rein they can do our pony fun day - for less experienced children lessons and ride outs can be offered instead.
