Arrive today and settle in to your lovely Country House Hotel accommodation. If time permits we can organise a lesson for you today, if not riding will start tomorrow. See the bottom of this itinerary for your best suited riding package.
This evening dinner may be taken in the hotel's restaurant. Local produce is freshly prepared by the excellent chefs and complemented by an extensive wine list. The hotel also offers a good choice of bar meals. Alternatively you might like to take the short walk to the idyllic local village pub.
After breakfast take the short walk through the grounds of your hotel to the adjacent riding stables. You will begin the day with a private/semi private riding lesson from one of our qualified instructors. There will then be a break for lunch before you are allocated your horse for an afternoon ride along picturesque bridleways and quiet country lanes as you head towards Delamere Forest, Cheshire’s largest woodland. Please note if you are a beginner/novice, or nervous rider you will have a second lesson.
This evening choose from a range of dining experiences either in the hotel or in the pretty local village of Tarporley. The Swan pub has an award winning Chef, The Rising Sun is renowned for its good pub food and The Coast is one of the best Italian restaurants in Cheshire.
After breakfast today the choice is yours, either enjoy another ride out in the Cheshire countryside or take a lesson on one of the stables well schooled horses (or both if you didn't ride on day one). We also have the option for experienced riders to upgrade this final hack to our 3hr Delamere Forest.
For non-riders and for those wanting to do some sight-seeing, please have a look at our travel guide on the many activities available locally. "Hi, Chris & I had a brilliant time on our learn to canter break in Cheshire. Chris can now canter, one handed too!!, 20 metre circles, etc."
"I have just returned from an fantastic break in the most beautiful country house hotel in Cheshire booked through Equestrian Escapes. It was everything a country hotel should. The food was fabulous and nothing was too much trouble. The stables were right next door and the horses were superb. Well schooled and forward but eager to look after me. I rode Red, Charlie, Maddy and Penny and they were all fantastic as was Chris the instructor, who taught me such a lot. I really enjoyed myself. Thank you so much Equestrian Escapes"
