This is a fun filled and varied week with for your youngsters which will help them to improve their confidence around horses whilst having to look after their pony for the week.

Lessons in stable management which include handling your pony, grooming, plaiting, bathing, and tacking up.

Full day ride with a stop off for lunch (pocket money for cake and lunch needed)

A Tack and Turnout competition which provides motivation to get into that healthy-competitive mood!

A show morning which allows kids to show off skills they’ve learnt during the week with rosettes.

Sample Itinerary
Monday
Drop off children at the farmhouse between 11.00 & 12.00. We spend some time getting to know our young riders and spend some time with parents or guardians before you head home.
12.00 lunch, meet and greet the horses and staff and go through the weeks plans plus house and yard rules and a safety briefing
Afternoon meet the ponies, learn to groom and riding assessment
4.00 afternoon tea, structured tack cleaning, free time, evening meal
9.00 – drink, biscuit & bed
Tuesday
8-8.30 - Breakfast
9-10 – grooming, tacking up
10-12 – riding
12-1 – lunch, free time
Afternoon - grooming, tacking up riding/show practise, mounted,
4.00 afternoon tea, tack cleaning, free time, evening meal.
Tonight, weather permitting, we will do the much loved 'River Run'! Pack old clothes and trainers to splash about in our local brook.
9.00 – drink, biscuit & bed

8-8.30 - Breakfast

12-1 – lunch, freetime
Afternoon - stable management – teamwork for show prep, learning how to turn out a horse to show standard, practise plaiting, washing tails
4.00 afternoon tea followed by tack cleaning, free time, evening meal and weather permitting a river run.

10-4 – DAY RIDE with a lunch stop

These camps have been successfully run over the past few years, dramatically improving many children's riding skills but please note there is no arena and lessons are carried out in the surrounding paddocks and while out hacking.
