Flexible Beach Ride

Day One

After your arrival at either Malaga or Gibraltar airport, you will be heading to the coast and the beautiful sandy beaches close to Tarifa. This area of the coast is known by the Spanish as La Costa de la Luz (coast of light) and as you gaze out on your surroundings you will quickly understand why, as the light in this region has a quality all of its own. The sand on the beaches on this western coast of Spain is finer and a more golden colour than the Costa del Sol, even better for riding on! This beach is part of a nature reserve and many migrating birds use it as a stop over before they fly to Africa. This afternoon you will start your riding with an introduction to your horse. We explain to you all about the tack (very comfortable saddles) and also the Spanish way of riding. As soon as you are comfortable on your horse you will go out for your first ride.

Day Two

Today we have a full day riding planned for you. In the morning you will have a 2 hour ride on the beautiful beach and in the National Park that is adjacent to the stables. There are horses to suit all standards and ages of riders making this an ideal family trip. In the afternoon you will be riding in the surrounding countryside for a further 2 hours.

Day Three

After breakfast this morning we will be heading out onto the beach for a second 2 hour ride. In the mornings the beaches are quiet and often deserted so the more gallant may try their first canter. This afternoon you are free to explore the local area, we recommend that you visit the hill-top village of Vejer which is a short drive away and enjoy its quaint narrow streets and traditional restaurants.

Day Four

Today the choice is yours, either relax on the beach, take an optional trip to Morocco including of course, a visit to a wonderful Zoco (market) where you can practice your bartering skills or enjoy another day riding in this spectacular area.

Day Five

Today, sadly it is time to bid farewell to new friends as you head back to the airport for your flight home.
