For those who are in love with life……as well as horses
Day One
Arrive in Seville and travel the short distance to Las Casas de la Juderia Hotel. This charming four star hotel is located in the old 'jewish' quarter of the city and is in one of the most tasteful neighbourhoods in Seville. It consists of a series of houses and palaces carefully linked together such that the original architecture is still very much in evidence. Here you can enjoy the taste of an authentic Andalusian House with its flowers, courtyards, wrought iron gates and fountains, where every drop of water breathes peace and calmness. You will find all the facilities and services that you would expect of a first-class hotel, delicious breakfast, restaurant (where you can look up at the stars), room service, piano bar, reading room, meeting room, parking and laundry service and a swimming pool and sun terrace on the roof.
Day Two
Drive out today to Donana National Park. This stunning nature reserve is renowned throughout the world for its diverse populations of wild birds. It is also home to wild horses, various reptiles, fallow deer, wild board, flamingos and many endangered species including lynx and imperial eagles. It is impossible to ride around this highly protected area of outstanding natural beauty without a permit. Today you will have the unique opportunity to revel in the marvels of this diverse natural habitat from horseback.
Day Three
Travel to Jerez this morning (50 minutes drive) and a four star Hacienda. The Hacienda was formally owned by the champion bull fighter of Jerez and has been lovingly and carefully converted by its new owners, into a true paradise where you can relax in luxury and ride horses. The accommodation is in the form of individual suites, each with private terrace, spacious sitting room, large double bedroom and ample bathroom with 'walk-in' shower and double hand basins. It is set amongst landscaped gardens and the magnificent swimming pool forms the centre piece of this truly unique property. This evening you will be able to ride through the local parkland to a local 'tapas' bar where refreshments will be served as the horses rest a little.
Day Four
This morning the choice is yours, either enjoy a dressage lesson in one of the hacienda’s magnificent riding arenas or head off once more into the local countryside for some more trail riding. This afternoon you will be able to relax a little by the pool, or you could take a trip to the beautiful white washed Andalusian village of Argos for a little sight seeing. This evening a Flamenco dinner is on the menu for you in Jerez; you simply can't visit Andalusia without witnessing at firsthand the passion of Flamenco!
Day Five
This morning you will be heading back to Jerez to see the world famous performance of The Royal Riding School. The show is best known for their breath taking production 'how the Andalusian horses dance'. Their painstaking training methods make this spectacular a real delight as the horses perform intricate and demanding movements with effortless grace and control. After the show there will be time for lunch in Jerez (the best way to acquaint yourself with this charming city is by taking an open topped horse drawn carriage ride). Later this afternoon a private tour and tasting will be organised for you at Gonzalez Byass Bodega, birthplace of Tio Pepe. Your guide will set you on an adventure of discovery as you learn to appreciate and savour a range of local wines, sherries and brandies.
Day Six
This morning the choice is yours again, select between dressage lessons with the expert instructor or head off into the countryside once more on horseback. This afternoon you may like to take a trip to one of the nearby seaside towns where the local restaurants serve the most wonderful freshly caught fish.
Day Seven
