Day One
Arrive and settle into your chosen accommodation. Each of the options that we offer are within a short drive from the stables. You can choose to stay in a beautiful property located just outside the village. This is a great option for single girls or couples coming without a car as you can catch the train into the nearest station, then the stables will provide a transfer for each day that you are riding. The local village is within walking distance for evening meals. For those who would prefer to stay in a traditional country pub in a rural location then you can stay in the nearby village of Rudgwick. The accommodation is 4* and serves great home cooked food, the vegetable lasagne is to die for. Our third option is the Village Inn, centrally located for the village high street with 4* boutique accommodation serving high quality seasonal British food, beer, spirits and wine.
This afternoon you will be meeting the horses, all of which have an interesting story behind them, some have even won thousands! Once comfortable you will be taken for your first ride out through the thick woods away from the hustle and bustle of the day to day work and life. Beginners will start will a lesson followed by a short hack, intermediate to experienced riders will head straight out on a half day ride.
Day Two
This morning after a good night's sleep and a hearty breakfast you will head back to the stables to be reunited with your faithful steed. Today you will ride over the north downs boasting spectacular views over the West Sussex and Surrey borders, hardly touching any roads as you go. The experienced riders will be out all day today enjoying fast canters over the vast fields that the race horses are trained on. You will stop for lunch at a local inn where fires roar in the winter and all the food is home made and locally sourced. Beginners will experience a shorter half day ride, if you work up a thirst or are in need of a hot toddy you'll pass several beautiful pubs where you can stop off for a well earned rest.
Day Three
Today is your last chance to ride. Take your camera so that you won't be disappointed as you enjoy your final morning ride. This is an experience never to be forgotten!
