Day One
Arrive and settle into your accommodation in the pretty self catering holiday cottages situated adjacent to the riding stables. If time permits, we can organise a ride for you today, alternatively riding will commence tomorrow. Tonight, you may like to visit the local village just a few minutes away where there is a public house; additionally there is a more extensive range of pubs and restaurants between 5 and 15 minutes away.
Day Two
This morning you will have a lesson with one of the riding stables instructors in the floodlit outdoor arena or alternatively the stables have an indoor arena. This afternoon, after time for lunch, you will be enjoying the Yorkshire Dales from horse back. You will be trekking through the stables grounds and enjoying the panoramic views of this unique area. All the treks are supervised by a member of staff and are suitable for all levels of rider. Lead rein treks are available for younger, less experienced riders.
Day Three
Today the riding will follow the same format as yesterday with a lesson with the stables qualified instructors then a trek ideal for families. There is plenty to do for non-riders including fishing in the River Bain and a beautiful lake is only a 10 minute walk away. Additionally, this area is brimming with English Heritage.
Day Four
Today you will have a lesson and then go on a trek through the Yorkshire Dales. All the treks are supervised by a member of staff. After your rides you may like to visit the White Scar Cave. The cave is about 1 hour from the riding stables but well worth the journey. It is the longest show cave in Britain and you will see underground waterfalls and streams as well as spectacular stalagmites.
Day Five
Today you may like to take a day off from riding and visit one of the many attractions Yorkshire has to offer. There is a biking centre about 1hr 30 minutes away from the stables where you will be able to take in the spectacular countryside on another mode of transport. Here you can hire bikes and you will get a detailed informative route map of the area. Additionally, only 30 minutes drive away is one of the UK’s leading theme parks. With over 40 rides there are rides for all the family.
Day Six
Today you will have a lesson with the stables BHSA qualified instructors. Why not enjoy the spectacular scenery of the Yorkshire Dales from the canopy of the trees on the aerial adventure course located only 30 minutes from the riding centre.
Day Seven
This morning you will have a lesson. We can offer dressage or jumping lessons. We can also offer one hour pony experience sessions, including a riding lesson and horse care in a group. This afternoon, you will be trekking in the hilltops.
Day Eight
Today you will be departing but we know you will be back again soon.

High Season is £395 per person

There is also a local country guest house and a bistro hotel for luxury
accommodation. Please ring for availability and prices.
