Mid Week Break in Berkshire

Day One

Arrive after lunch/late afternoon and settle into your on-site accommodation, the local pubs and restaurants are just a 5 or 10 minute drive, those who choose to stay in the self catering accommodation may of course bring their own food and wine.
Lunch and dinner is available on site too - Maggie is a great cook!

Day Two

A generous breakfast will be served in the farmhouse this morning. After breakfast you will meet your horse for a lesson; depending on your ability this can be arranged as a private lesson, a semi-private lesson or a small group lesson (maximum 4). After a rest for lunch this afternoon you will be enjoying a hack around the farm tracks and woodlands that surround this stunning estate. Riders may only walk and trot in open countryside on their first day with us, cantering may be permitted in the arena. The evening is free to enjoy the area and local pubs/restaurants.

Day Three

After breakfast in the farm house, you will have another lesson in the arena, followed by time to relax by the pool or read a book in this most tranquil of settings. After lunch there will be another hack when you will be able to practice your newly learnt (or recently revised!) skills.

Day Four

After breakfast, you will hack through the beautiful Berkshire countryside enabling you to take in the fantastic views before you leave this picturesque county.

4 nights accommodation with 6 riding opportunities is £499.

There is a choice of accommodation either in the large 18th century farmhouse that offers cosy rooms and delicious home cooked food or for those wanting more independence and privacy there is a choice of small stable mews self catering cottages, each uniquely and lovingly decorated by the owner. In the grounds there is a heated outdoor pool (free use by arrangement) beautiful traditional gardens and old fashioned flower beds. All of the accommodation is non smoking.
The horse riding offered is suitable for everyone including beginners. There is a maximum weight of 15 stone. The horse riding holidays and short breaks are also suitable for non riders.

Take a break from the city and learn a new skill on our adult intensive riding break. All our riding holidays are flexible and can be organised for a variety of nights from 2 to 7 or even longer.
