2 night break Essex

Day One

Arrive after lunch/late afternoon and settle into the cosy rooms of the local pub.  Here you will find excellent bedrooms all newly built to the highest of standards.  The local pub serves delicious home cooked food and is within walking distance of the stables so it is your perfect retreat for your holiday.  Collection can be arranged from Colchester railway station for those arriving without a car.  Later today riding will start with either a lesson or a ride out depending on your preference.

Day Two

A generous breakfast will be served in the pub this morning.  After breakfast you can walk (or a lift can be arranged) to the stable.  The riding programme today is flexible, we suggest you take an extended ride to the local river, a picnic can be provided.  Maybe you will enjoy the blanket of bluebells in the surrounding woodland in the Spring or the russet and brown carpet of leaves in the Autumn?  All levels of riders are catered for including children, making this Essex retreat perfect for families.  This evening you will be able to enjoy a great meal in the pub, in the winter you will find log fires and in the summer there is a wooden patio where you can sit out and enjoy the peace of the evening.

Day Three

Sadly this is the day of departure but not before you have practiced your newly learnt (or recently revised!) skills and ridden out once more in the beautiful countryside.  If time allows why not visit Colchester Zoo or Colchester Castle, which is the largest surviving example of a Norman castle in Europe.

The horse riding offered is suitable for everyone including beginners. There is a maximum weight of 13½ stone. The horse riding holidays and short breaks are also suitable for non riders.
