Thursday
Arrive and settle into your accommodation. You will be staying in a 4 star farm house B&B that has been carefully restored and decorated to an extremely high standard. This beautiful period property offers medieval vaulted ceilings and many original details and it sits within its own walled gardens overlooking the ancient church of St Madoc. All the bedrooms of the property are ensuite and have lovely views, comfortable beds, digital radios and a variety of books. Tonight you may like to head to one of the local pubs to enjoy dinner.
Friday
After breakfast you will be heading for the stables. The stables have a wide variety of horses and ponies so they can cater for all abilities from young children who are riding for the first time, through to those who have their own horse. This morning you will have an assessment lesson to pair you with a nice horse, suitable for your ability. After lunch you will be riding in the woodland. This ride takes you into the stables 35 acre private valley. You will be hacking in a sheltered, peaceful area where foxes, badgers, rabbits and pheasants roam freely and can sometimes be spotted. You will be riding on paths that follow the contours of the valley, making it possible to take many different routes and tracks. Some of these cater for the more experienced rider by having small cross-country jumps while the other paths may be taken at a more relaxed pace. The woodland ride accommodates all abilities and all riders will be accompanied by an experienced guide who is always happy to offer tips to improve your riding.
Saturday
After breakfast you will be going for a longer ride in this picturesque part of the British countyside. The longer ride will take you into Druidstone Haven. You will be hacking through wooded valley’s and along a coastal track which takes you through lush pastureland overlooking the inlets of Nolton and Druidston - giving a bird’s eye view over St.Bride's Bay. Out of high season you will be able to ride on the beaches of Newgale and Broad Haven. These awe inspiring beaches offer up to 2 miles of sand when the tide is at is lowest. As well as riding over the stables land, there is a local bridleway and plenty of common land to enable you to take in the impressive coastal scenery. This afternoon you will be riding on the beach. The beach ride goes to Druidstone Haven - this peaceful and visually dramatic beach is situated just over a mile from the Stables. Druidstone is nationally renowned for its geological features and the ‘Telly Tubby House.’ When the tide is out there can be up to a mile of sand which can be ridden on all year round.
Sunday
After breakfast, you will be heading to the stables. The stables are fully certified and accredited and are a Visit Wales Certified Activity Centre and members of the Wales Trekking and Riding Association. This morning you will be heading onto the beautiful beach. On the beach you will split up into smaller groups based on your riding ability enabling everyone to enjoy the breathtaking scenery whilst riding at their own pace. After your ride you will have the opportunity to say goodbye to your new found friends and horses before you depart.
