Day One:
Arrive today and settle in to the hotel. If time permits we can organise a ride for you today or if not riding will start tomorrow. You may want to start with a lesson to give you time to adjust to a different horse in new surroundings. This evening dinner may be taken in the hotel's Gainsborough Restaurant. Local produce is freshly prepared by the excellent chefs and complemented by an extensive wine list. The hotel also offers a good choice of bar meals.
Day Two:
After breakfast you will be walking through the grounds of the hotel to the riding stables. This morning we recommend you begin the day with a lesson from one of the school's qualified instructors. There will then be a break for lunch before you are allocated your horse for an afternoon ride along picturesque bridleways and quiet country lanes as you head towards Delamere Forest, Cheshire’s largest woodland. This is a popular destination for local riders and there is an ideally situated horse-friendly café along the route where horses can take a rest and riders can enjoy a coffee whilst admiring the views. This evening choose from a range of dining experiences either in the hotel or in the pretty, local village of Tarporley. The Swan pub has an award winning Chef, The Rising Sun is renowned for exquisite food and Cristiano’s is one of the best Italian restaurants in Cheshire.
Day Three:
Tody we suggest that you follow the same riding programme as for day two.
Day Four:
After breakfast today the choice is yours, either enjoy another ride out in the Cheshire countryside or take a final lesson on one of the stables well schooled horses. For non-riders and for those wanting to do some sight-seeing, the historic city of Chester is only a 15 minute drive; its unique black and white Tudor-style shopping rows draw visitors from around the globe. Beeston Castle is a 10 minute drive, at its summit the spectacular views spans across 5 counties. Or the pretty village of Tarporley is only a 5 minutes drive away, here you can enjoy a coffee in the Old Fire Station Chocolate Shop.
