Seville Feria runs 20 - 25 April 2010 and Equestrian Escapes will once again be offering unique equestrian holidays to both this feria and also the Jerez Feria 02 - 09 May 2010. Horses play an integral role in the festivals and fiestas of Andalucia, the impressive Andalucian horses, famous for their long tumbling manes, noble elegance and breath taking paces take centre stage throughout the celebrations.
The sheer size of the April Fair in Seville is a spectacle to behold, the dancing continues throughout the day and the universal spontaneity of enjoyment is contageous. There are casetas open to the public where you can enjoy the local wines and tapas in true Sevilliano style. From midday until early evening the parade in carriages or on horseback of the local community provides a colourful spectacle. The Jerez Feria takes place in Gonzalez Hontoria Park, it is a central fixture in the town's calendar and everyone turns up to take a look! The most successful families of Jerez whose studs and bull-breeding farms surround this beautiful old city come together to show off their most prized possessions, their Andalucian Horses! The entertainment continues throughout the day with displays of carriage driving, showjumping, dressage and the more traditional Doma Vaquera competitions.
