Arrive and settle into your accommodation in the heart of the beautiful Rushmore Estate. You will be staying at the Five Star B&B, a picturesque 19th century country house offering luxury accommodation and Holistic Retreat days. The house is nestled in the secluded rolling slopes of the Cranborne Chase in Dorset - an area of outstanding beauty. One acre of garden and an outdoor heated swimming pool offer you space for relaxation, exercise and peace. The three bedrooms are all en suite, warm, and inviting, individually designed with relaxation in mind.
This afternoon you will be meeting the horses, all of which have an interesting story behind them. Once comfortable Angie will be taking you for your first ride out through the thick woods away from the hustle and bustle of the day to day work and life. You will ride to the local farm shop for afternoon tea - what better way to start your trip!
This morning after a good night's sleep and breakfast you will head back to the stables to be reunited with your faithful steed. Take your camera so that you won't be disappointed as you will ride through the estate up to the hills of the Cranborne Chase to take in the spectacular views. There is no doubt that this is a magical sight to see on horse back! As you are the only riders permitted on the estate this really is a truly exclusive trip never to forget. There are no cars allowed in this area and you will hardly meet a soul apart from the wonderful wildlife, peace and tranquility.
This afternoon you will head back to the B&B, just a five minute drive away, and meet your personal therapist the the next door suite which is set in the rustic charms of the original stables. The centre is a result of her 11 year career in the Middle East, managing salons and spas, including an exclusive ladies spa set up for members of the royal family and ministers' wives of Muscat. It was here that her passion and deep belief in natural therapies and holistic lifestyle developed.
Choose from four 60-75minute natural therapy treatments - Therapentic Massage, Aromatherapy Massage, M.L.D (Manual Lymph Drainage) Massage or a Moor Salt Body Scrub. See the bottom of the itinerary for a detailed description.
Today is your final day. After breakfast you will be meeting your therapist one last time for a private Reflexology session. Reflexology is an ancient healing method used in the East thousands of years ago. The treatment has a holistic approach to encourage healing and well-being. Points on the feet relate to parts of the body and are worked on by applying pressure with the thumbs and fingers. Effective for conditions such as stress and tension, digestive disorders, skin conditions, PMT, muscular problems, improves nerve functions and boosts the immune system.
Rushmore Estate really is something straight out of a Jilly Cooper novel, you need to see it to believe it, a holiday you'll never forget begging you to come back again and again!
Therapentic Massage - This massage is one of the oldest forms of physical therapy. It relieves muscular tension, aids in the removal of toxins and relaxes the whole body and mind. Deep tissue techniques are used on the deeper tension areas resulting in better mobility.
Aromatherapy Massage - Aromatherapy is an ancient healing method. A powerful massage using organic essential oils, blended by the therapist to suit the client's health and well-being needs. The massage can be as light or deep as is required.
M.L.D (Manual Lymph Drainage) Massage - Manual Lymph Drainage works on the lymphatic system. The technique uses light strokes to stimulate the lymphatic flow, aiding in the removal of toxins. This massage is a health enhancer, boosting the immune system.
Moor Salt Body Scrub - Renowned for its healing properties this exfoliating body treatment leaves the skin feeling calm and refreshed.
