Initially, the children will learn how to handle their horse/pony safely including tying-up, leading and grooming. A typical day consists of stable care and feeding the horses and ponies, tacking up, and approximately 3 hours riding with experienced instruction and adult supervision at all times. Children will be taught stable management and will learn to care for all the needs of their horses and ponies. The riding will be a mixture of flat lessons and jumping lessons (a large indoor arena can be used in bad weather), hacks through the beautiful Cranborne Chase on the Rushmore Estate and cross country rides for the more experineced riders. Arrival time after 11am, departure 1pm.
Annette Cole will teach the flat work and Angie Cox will teach the show jumping and cross country.
Children must provide a body protector for any jumping under insurance guidelines, and parents will be required to sign disclaimer for their child to jump.
On one of the days in the week the children will have a one to one lesson with Clare Partridge (top County Show Rider).

"We just got back from your Wiltshire holiday. The weekend was fabulous, horses wonderful and the countryside awesome. Angie was a great teacher and guide and obviously loved her horses. I could thoroughly recommend this holiday and we are already thinking about the next one."
