Day One

Arrive at Jerez or Malaga airport, private transfer to your five star hotel. Your hotel is situated in the centre of the city close to ‘La plaza del caballo’ and The Royal Riding School. This exclusive hotel has only 18 rooms in total and offers luxury accommodation for the most discerning of clients. This evening dinner and a choice of fine wines will be served in the hotel’s splendid dining room

Day Two

After breakfast this morning you will be taken the short distance to the Royal Riding School where you will be allocated the best seats in the house for the wonderful display ‘How the Andalusian horses dance’. This equestrian ballet is set to traditional Spanish music and demonstrates both styles of Spansh Riding, Doma Vaquera and Doma Clasica.

After the display, lunch will be taken in a traditional restaurant close to The Royal Riding School.

This afternoon guests may like to take part in private equitation lessons riding pure bred Spanish horses under the tuition of riders from The Royal Riding School. The classes will last for approximately one hour.

Dinner will be served at the hotel this evening. Then at 21.45 guests will be taken to one of the best Flamenco shows in town. The show includes appearances by some of Spain’s top Flamenco dancers. You will be returned to the hotel at 23.15 hrs.

Day Three

Today you will be travelling to Donana National Park , this stunning nature reserve is renowned throughout the world for its diverse populations of wild birds. It is also home to wild horses, fallow deer, wild boar, flamingos, various types of reptile and many endangered species including lynx and imperial eagles. It is impossible to ride around this highly protected area of outstanding national beauty without a special permit but today you will have the unique opportunity to revel in the marvels of the diverse natural habitats from horseback.

You will retrace the unique pilgrimage route of La Virgen del Rocio a celebrations that takes place every May in this area. Your horses will be sturdy pure bred crosses used to crossing this type of terrain. You will be trotting and cantering through private fincas and a picnic lunch will be served along the route. After lunch you may like to take an optional horse-drawn carriage ride that will take you the rest of the journey to Rocio so that you can watch the setting of the sun.

You will be transferred back to your hotel later today.

Day Four

This morning after breakfast you will be taken by private taxi the short distance to La Yeguada de la Cartuja (The National Stud Farm). Here you will be met by your guide who will explain the history of this most important stud. You will see the stallions, mares and foals whose breeding has been selected with painstaking care to preserve the purest of bloodlines in these exceptional examples of Spanish stock.

You will again enjoy privileged seating for the display. A glass of Jerez’s finest sherry will be served to you after the show courtesy of Gonzalez Byass Bodega. This afternoon the choice is yours you can either take an optional trip to one of the most famous bull breeding farms in the region where you will have the opportunity to view at close hand the majestic herd of bulls or you can head back to the hotel to enjoy some free time to relax.

Dinner in the hotel again this evening.

Day Five

This morning you can enjoy a leisurely breakfast. You will be collected from your hotel at 10.00 hr by a luxurious horse drawn carriage. Your tour will take you through the old quarter of the city past the Cathedral and Alcazar and will finish at the most famous of the bodegas in Jerez, Gonzalez Byass. Here you will have a private tour with one of their knowledgeable wine experts who will ensure that your palate soon becomes acustomised to the fine array of Jerez wines on offer.

If time permits lunch will be served at the hotel before you journey back to the airport.
