All of the packages offered are flexible in terms of duration of stay and start and finish days. We require a 30% deposit to secure dates with final balance being due 8 weeks prior to departure. We can cater for beginner to advanced riders but please note that fast beach riding is only suitable for those secure in walk, trot and canter.
The horses and ponies are beautifully cared for and there are suitable mounts for all ages and experiences. Rides will be exciting but safe and beginners or nervous/less experienced riders will be encouraged and made to feel at ease riding well behaved horses.
Typically a week long riding holiday will have around 13 hours of riding in 6 days (more available). There are a host of beautiful country rides to enjoy including trails to a natural lake and a stunning beach ride, all off road within the Natural Park. We can also put together a program tailored to your riding level with a different trail each day.
When you are not riding you are welcome to help with the horses, have a swim in the pool or relax on the sun terrace. We offer transfers to the beach too and the local village is well worth a visit! Surf and yoga lessons can be included at a discounted price. Dolphin & bird watching and hiking plus spa visits are also popular in this area.
Accommodation:
The accommodation changes depending on the season and availability. Choose from the neatly decorated wooden eco bungalows with solar powered water system, private terrace and view of the horses and natural park, or in a comfortable room in our 4 bed roomed villa. Your en suite bathroom is equipped with a toilet, shower and fresh, clean towels. We have free wifi throughout the villa, and with a pool table and a TV with a wide range of films. Our sun terrace and swimming pool are always open.
You may have full use of the kitchen in the villa, and a laundry service is available on request.
Supermarkets are close by and free transfers can be arranged. A good breakfast will be served for you on the villa terrace in the morning sun. Evening meals may be taken in the local restaurant or you have use of the kitchen facilities in the villa or by arrangement dinners will be cooked on site (minimum numbers required). This is all on site accommodation.
For those who would like some luxury we also offer a lovely spa hotel option. The hotel's facilities include a restaurant, bar, coffee shop and swimming pool area with spa facilities and massage treatments available.
All rooms are equipped with en suite bathroom, satellite TV, mini-bar, air conditioning, hairdryer, safe and terrace/balcony.
The SPA has a Turkish bath, sauna, massage room, Vichy shower, gym and indoor heated pool which has a telescopic cover that can be removed to reveal the sky above.
For golfers you can reserve a round of golft one of the nearby golf courses. Rates include bed and continental breakfast.
Arrival:
You will need to find flights into Faro which are currently available with all of the low cost airlines inc. Easy Jet, Ryan Air and Monarch. Upon arrival at the airport there is a bus to take you to the train station in Faro (10mins away). Alternatively you can take a taxi which will cost approximately £8. There are frequent trains along the coast from Faro to Lagos. The train journey takes around 1hr 20mins and costs approximately £10. You will be collected at Lagos; the price is €20pp and is to be paid locally.
For those who would prefer to be collected we can offer you a private door-to-door transfer for approximately £32pp each way (maximum of 4 people per car).
