The Inn is home to the Isle of Purbeck Brewery where they brew fine ales on the premises and the bar has two log fires and is candlelit in the evenings giving it a warm and cosy atmosphere.
Day Two
After a full English breakfast you will be heading to the riding stables. The stables are located in an area of outstanding beauty on a world heritage coastline. The coastline is renowned for its safe sandy beaches. This morning you are able to spend some time getting to know your horse before you head off on the forest ride. You will be walking, trotting and cantering across heath land as you head towards Newton Heath forest. You will be riding through some of the most beautiful lowland heath with a multitude of paths and sandy tracks to explore and not a road in sight to cross! During your ride you will be taking in stunning views of Brownsea Island, Poole Harbour and Bournemouth and if you are lucky you may even see one of the resident Roe or Sika Deer! For lunch you may like to head back to your accommodation and sample their wide range of bar meals in their extensive beer gardens that overlook the sea.
This afternoon you will be riding on the beach. You will be cantering along miles of sandy beach, up and down the sand dunes and you can even take your horse into the sea and watch the waves lap at your horses hooves. This is a truly spectacular and memorable experience.
Day Three
After a hearty breakfast at the Inn, you will be heading to the stables and riding around Old Harry Rocks along National Heritage sites. This is a stunning ride that leaves the picturesque village of Studland and takes you up over the dramatic scenery of the coastal cliffs. This ride has the most spectacular views of the Jurassic coast and the entrance to Poole Harbour.
This afternoon you may like to take the Sandbanks ferry into Poole. There are plenty of things to do in Poole including a visit to Poole Harbour, the second largest natural harbour in the world after Sydney harbour or you could travel to Brownsea Island, a 500 acre island situated in the centre of Poole Harbour where you may spot some elusive wildlife in the nature reserve on the island.
Please note if you are booking a weekend break you will be riding on the beach in the morning.
