Short Break, Barcelona

Day One

Arrive in Barcelona Girona airport today.  Arrival time is flexible, make your way to your chosen accommodation if time allows riding can start later today or if not in the morning.

Day Two

Today you will be heading to the equestrian centre; pick up can be arranged from either of the accommodation choices. The centre is located north of Barcelona in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is surrounded by mile upon mile of tracks and pathways perfect for riding along. The centre also offers excellent tuition including jumping lessons and they are able to cater from total beginners right up to experienced competition riders. You can design your own riding plan to suit you from lessons, short hacks, half day rides to full day rides. As an example you may like to start today with an assessment lesson to ensure the correct horse is selected for you followed by a one or two hour ride out.

Day Three

Beginner riders may like to enjoy a similar riding plan to day two, whilst more experienced riders may like to make the most of the wonderful local scenery and head out for a longer ride.

Day Four

A similar riding plan is available as in previous days. If you need help to plan your ideal riding package we are always available to help! In addition to the riding this is a beautiful area, one afternoon or evening you may like to visit the medieval town of Besalu. The 12th century Roman bridge over to the town is a real landmark. The restaurants in this region are a gastronomic delight serving a mixture of traditional Spanish and local dishes.

Day Five

Ride this morning if time permits or if not then head back to the airport for
your flight home as it is, alas, the end of your riding holiday. Those wishing to extend their stay with a few nights in Barcelona may also organize this through Equestrian Escapes.

3 full days of riding for experienced riders OR 3 x 1 hour lessons and 3 x 2 hour hacks for beginners plus either: 

4 nights half board in rural country home next to the stables £450 per person

4 nights B&B in a beautiful Country House Hotel £375 per person
