Almeria One Week Beach Riding Holiday

Day One

Arrive at Almeria Airport and head to your choice of accommodation. This fishermen’s village is situated in the middle of the picturesque marine nature reserve of Cabo de Gata. The region features dramatic cliffs, small and secluded coves and fine golden sand; it boasts some of the most beautiful, virgin beaches of southern Spain. In the evening you will be able to enjoy the charming town of San Jose.

Day Two

After breakfast you will be heading to the stables to start your riding. Beginners may like to start with some instruction whilst more experienced riders can head straight for the magnificent beach of Cala Higuera.

Day Three

This morning your riding programme will continue. You will be able to enjoy an unforgettable ride along one of the most beautiful beaches of this spectacular coastline, Los Genoveses. The ride will be 2 hours long. In the afternoon we recommend that you visit the beautiful town of Mojacar, perched on a hilltop from which you can enjoy fabulous views of the Mediterranean. Why not stroll along the narrow winding streets in the centre of town which still reflect the authentic eastern past of this wonderful location. Alternatively, Nijar and Carboneras are both worthy of a visit.

Day Four

This morning you have a few hours to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. This afternoon we have a special adventure from the beach to the spectacular Tabernas Desert; this is the only desert in Europe. Here you will be able to enjoy riding in typical cowboy style. You will also be treated to the fantastic show at Fort Bravo where many of the famous Spaghetti Westerns were directed by Sergio Leone.

Day Five

After another beach ride this morning the day is free to relax or to explore the wonderful virgin beaches located in the surroundings, or you may like to try one of the optional activities we offer.

Day Six

After breakfast your riding will continue. Choose again between an equitation class and riding on the beach of Cala Higuera. This afternoon why not enjoy a game of tennis on one of the hotels courts or take a bicycle ride or walk around the estate and see the traditional farming methods still practised.

Day Seven

This morning you will be able to enjoy another unforgettable ride along this spectacular coastline. In the afternoon there is free time to soak up the sun and enjoy a swim in the hotel pool or head to the beach and book a boat trip that explores the coast of the National Park.

Day Eight

Today it is time to head to Almeria Airport for your flight home.

There is a choice of two 4 star hotels. One is located in the countryside and is where the horses are located, it is approximately 800m from the beach and transport is offered to take you there. The other hotel is located on the beach and is 800m from the stables. Transport is available between the two upon request.
