Day One

Arrive after lunch/late afternoon and settle into your on-site accommodation, the local pubs and restaurants are just a 5 or 10 minute drive, those who choose to stay in the self catering accommodation may of course bring their own food and wine. Lunch and dinner is available on site too - Maggie is a great cook!

Day Two

Riding will begin today, children will be riding twice a day and adults will be riding once a day. (More riding is available for adults if required). After breakfast you will meet your horse for a lesson; depending on your ability this can be arranged as a private lesson, a semi-private lesson or a small group lesson (maximum 4). Children are welcome to help out around the stables with the ponies and will be riding again in the afternoon. Adults can choose from a lesson in the morning or a hack in the afternoon (or both!). The evening is free to enjoy the area and local pubs/restaurants.

Day Three

Children will be riding twice again today and helping with the ponies, adults can enjoy a lesson or a hack around the farm tracks and woodlands that surround this stunning estate. The local area is brimming with all things horsey including Ascot, Royal Windsor, Newbury racecourse and Lambourne too is just a short drive away.

Day Four

After breakfast, the riding plan will be the same as the previous two days. You may also like to help out with the horses and ponies; the staff will always be keen to show you the ropes.

Day Five

The riding plan will be as in previous days. There is also a pool available in the gardens where you can relax or read a book in this most tranquil of settings. Evening meals or lunches in the farmhouse can be ordered with Maggie she just needs 24 hours notice.

Day Six

Ride again today under the watchful eye of the riding stable’s qualified staff. One day you might like to visit Highclere castle in Newbury; one of England’s most beautiful Victorian castles set amidst spectacular parkland or Beale Park which offers a fantastic selection of birds. Legoland in Windsor is also close at hand and perfect to keep young children entertained.

Day Seven

Today will be your last day of riding and hopefully you will now be feeling confident and relaxed on your horse or pony. Before you leave this lovely area of England try to fit in a visit to The Living Rainforest where birds, lizards and butterflies roam freely. The Living Rainforest also has crocodiles and monkeys.
